"We spent two weeks in August in this splendid apartment, which is perfectly situated in stunning surroundings. The views of the Dachstein Mountains from the balcony are breathtaking. Gosau itself is great - very uncommercialised and peaceful with many walks. Gosausee, a 10 minute drive/bus ride up the road is a must - the glacier is absolutely magnificent. Further afield, Halstatt, with its ice-caves and salt mine, Salzburg and Wolfgangsee, are all within striking distance. Although we didn't take a car, the busses ran on time and the bus stop is a very handy short walk up the road from the Hotel.

The apartment itself was great - very homely with finishing touches such as Austrian ornaments etc. The beds were very comfortable, as was the sitting area with a TV and DVD player - the owners have provided the apartment with a plentiful supply of DVDs to choose from. We liked the fact that the balcony is carpeted - we could walk out in bare feet. The apartment's kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need - it even had a set of sugar tongs! An added bonus is the free use of the Hotel's swimming pool and sauna.
If you want a peaceful haven with beauty wherever you look, then this is the place to go. We'll definitely be back"
